All RRUK music is now downloadable for FREE!!!

Yes, you did read the title correctly and yes, as the title indeed suggests, here at RRUK we have made the bold decision to make all of our releases available for free download!! All songs and also each album in its entirety is now downloadable from our new music page, however, there will still be an option to donate via PayPal for those who would like to contribute and hard copies will still be purchased as normal. As with all proceeds we receive from music sales, all donations will go immediately back into funding the promotion of our music.

The aim of this decision is simply to gain a larger listening audience as although RRUK music sales over the last few years have undoubtedly exceeded our initial expectations by a considerable amount, our aim is to increase this significantly for the release of ALICE ROCK’s third album – ‘Kill or Cure’.

'Kill or Cure' – ALICE ROCK's third album

So here you have it, yes, the news we have all been waiting for - the details of ALICE ROCK’s third album. The album is to be called ‘Kill or Cure’ and can only be described as amazing… It is an album of two halves with the first part being a continuation of Yesterday’s Makeup and the second half being completely different. We don’t want to spoil the surprise for you too much but lyrically, the second half is a bit crazy yet also quite scarily true if dissected.

The album is to be released gradually with the first few songs being made available within the next couple of weeks. New ALICE ROCK album coming soon!

Can you believe it? Yes, ALICE ROCK are to release their third album on RRUK. Recording of their very bizarrely titled new album is to begin very soon. This album is very exciting as I think we all thought – can they really better Yesterday’s Makeup? But, unsurprisingly, they really have! This album release is certainly going to be an exciting one and we will endeavour to reach as many people with it as we possibly can. Relocation to London

Due to the success of our first two album releases i.e. Finding Wonderland 2006 and Yesterday’s Makeup 2007 the sales of which have increased extensively since our last news post, RRUK has made the move to London. Please note that our Nottingham PO BOX postal address is no longer in use and that a new publically available address will be made available as soon as possible.

RRUK is one year old - what have we achieved?

Well, RRUK has been established for over a year now, we can hardly believe it as the time has passed so quickly. During this time we have released two full length albums for the band ALICE ROCK and both have far exceeded our expectations in terms of sales. At the time of writing, both albums have sold over 800 copies in eleven different countries (wow). We are continuing to work hard on promotion to make this number grow as are ALICE ROCK who are quite simply the hardest working band you will ever come across. The band are embarking on a UK tour in the New Year, this in conjunction with our online and media based promotion should boost our profile even more and result in more success – thanks a lot to everyone who has purchased one of our records and thanks to everyone who has supported us. This goes to show that indie bands really can reach people if they’re prepared to put the work in! We are planning to relocate to London next year and if things continue they way they are doing, we may even consider taking on another artist (or two!)!

Yesterday’s Makeup - Release details

At last, we have the update that everyone has been waiting for, that is, the release date and details of ALICE ROCK’s second album. The album titled ‘Yesterday’s Makeup’ is a hilarious sequel to ‘Finding Wonderland’, it contains a raw passion that is second to none and will be released on 15th July. The album will be available from all major online digital stores, all good high street independent record shops and also the RRUK online shop through which pre-orders can already be made. Hard copies can be purchased in US dollars from the online store CDBaby.

The album ‘Finding Wonderland’ which can only be described as an astonishing piece of genius will be released on November 29th 2006.
